Microsoft has released three different whitepapers recently that are very helpfull in explaining the possibillities and limitations of SharePoint 2007. They addresses a lot of the questions that may or will come up when trying to match SharePoint with customer requirements:
- Compliance Features in the 2007 Microsoft Office System. This one is very important becauses it addresses a lot of the questions that you will be asked about how SharePoint can and will meet different regulatory compliance requirements.
- Microsoft Office Programs and SharePoint Products and Technologies Integration – Fair, Good, Better, Best (compares the Office 2003 integration vs the Office 2007 integration capabilities). Why should companies upgrade to Office 2007 when they invest in MOSS 2007, and what are the consequences not doing so.
- Bringing Web 2.0 to the Enterprise with the 2007 Office System. A lot is written about Web 2.0 and how internet is currently transforming in how information is collected and shared between individuals and between organisations and individuals. What does Office 2007 bring to the table in this context, and how can it be used to achive "web 2.0 compliance"
